We like to do fancy things across the front, also known as hair headbands. Then I leave them in as long as they look good and change the way I finish the ends from day to day. Pony, piggies, straightened, etc.
Looks fancy like a french braid, but my hands can do it. It is just a row of flipped piggies. Easy!
