NOTICE!

Hey Folks! I started this blog before pinterest came along, or before I found it, at least. A lot of the posts here are merely links to things I wanted to remember. I need space on my account, so if you find something you like, open the link and then pin it quick, as I will be deleting the posts that are not my original ideas.

Instant window shades

Another road trip pest? Sunshine. I wanted to find a more secure way to block the hot rays than the ol' blanket falling repeatedly off the clothes hanger hook.

Enter ribbon, binder clips, and cute fabric napkins.

I laced a length of ribbon through the handle of a binder clip and stitched it shut. (You could use hot glue or tie knots if you don't want to sew.)Then it was as simple as adding two ribbon clips to one side of the napkin. You could use any fabric or blanket, I even considered sewing a channel at the top to insert a dowel or something.
Then I used the ribbon to hang the shade from the hanger hooks and the button/knob we use to adjust our seabelt height.
